Research Interests
I am a second-year PhD student in the Department of Geography. Prior to CU, a significant part of my research background is in ecology and conservation science. I received a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment in 2022. I graduated from the University of Washington in 2018 with B.S. in economics and environmental science.
My previous research projects span studying wildlife-human coexistence, avian foraging ecology, fisheries and marine conservation policy, and sustainable development. In my free time, I love collecting magnets, and I am also a big fan of cozy video games, pixel arts, and lo-fi music.
Current Research
I focus on using interdisciplinary and mixed method approaches to understand how wildfires impact biodiversity in human-dominated landscapes. By leveraging high-resolution geospatial and environmental data, my current research aims to characterize patterns of wildfire risk and biodiversity loss across the wildland urban interface in the western US. I am also interested in understanding how to foster sustainable human-nature relationships in areas experiencing intense land-use modification and/or across geo-political boundaries using solution-based approaches.
