Research Interests

  • Cross-calibration and correction of long-term radiation belt and solar energetic particle data sets
  • Use of space radiation data to understand on-orbit satellite anomalies
  • Sources, losses and behavior of highly-relativistic electrons in Earth's radiation belts

Current Research

  • Calibration and validation of solar and galactic energetic heavy ions from the GOES-R satellite series.
  • Calibration and validation of Magnetometer and SupraThermal Ion Sensor (STIS) data from the Space weather Observations at L1 to Advance Readiness (SOLAR-1) mission.
  • Shallow internal charging on spacecraft in geostationary orbit.
  • Use of drift echoes for multi-year characterization of radiation belt data sets.
