Research Interests
Prasad Thota is a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering at CU Boulder advised by Prof. Balaji Rajagopalan and Dr. Imtiaz Rangwala. He loves cooking, playing badminton in his free time.
Current Research
Prasad's research focuses on enhancing the mechanistic understanding of hydroclimate variability in the US Great Plains region by examining space-time patterns and their connections to oceanic and atmospheric conditions. They aim to develop a predictive modeling framework that captures the relationships between large-scale climate drivers and regional moisture transport for improved seasonal precipitation predictions.
