Measuring Earth’s Energy Imbalance Using Satellite-Based Accelerometers

The research proposed will examine an unprecedented new technique for measuring the Earth's Energy Imbalance from a constellation of spherical satellites carrying precision accelerometers. This technique will directly measuring EEI without the large calibration errors experienced by radiometers or limiting assumptions made when inferring EEI from measurements of ocean heat content.
