Collaborating for an equitable future
Global Sustainability Scholars
This summer with the Global Sustainability Scholars, Kayla Lew is doing data analysis for VR(Ex)Change, a group focused on interdisciplinary efforts to accelerate sustainability research. Lew is passionate about finding ways for people to come together to build an equitable future. Her dream vacation is to travel to Iceland. “The natural landscape is gorgeous and I would love to see the northern lights,” she said. If she were an Olympic athlete, she would love to be a figure skater.
Humans of CIRES Q&A
Q: What will you be working on with GSS this summer?
This summer I have the honor of becoming a fellow under the Global Sustainability Scholars program. I will be doing data analysis work with VR(Ex)Change to create collaborative pathways across a diverse range of leaders in sustainability.
Q: What are you most passionate about professionally?
I am passionate about building an equitable future through the means of collaborative work and mutual understanding.
Q: Where would you go on your dream vacation?
Iceland! The natural landscape is gorgeous and I would love to see the northern lights.
Q: What sport would you compete in if you were in the Olympics?
If I had the ability, I would love to be a figure skater. It looks so freeing to smoothly glide across the ice and the tricks that they do are so fascinating to me!
