During summer of 2022, Laura Thapa joined the FIREX-AQ field campaign, flying through wildfire smoke plumes in the NASA DC-8, gathering data related to forecasting wildfire behavior. She worked with CIRES researchers Ravan Ahmadov, Eric James, Johana Romero-Alvarez, and Georg Grell.
