Please join Waleed Abdalati, CIRES Director, and Professor Kristy Tiampo, Career Track Committee Lead, as they discuss the Career Track promotion process, give guidance on the promotion package preparation, and touch on the promotion from Research Scientist III to Senior Research Scientist. A Q&A session will follow the presentation. This session is geared toward Associate Scientists and Research Scientists.
Career Track promotions recognize career growth and are considered annually through the Career Track Promotion process. Requests to be considered for promotion must be initiated by employees with approval from supervisors. Now is the time to consider putting together a promotion request as the packets take time to prepare and require approval from supervisors for success.
The full schedule outlines deadlines for different requirements of the process. Career track process and criteria have been updated in recent years, so even if you have navigated a promotion in the past, this session may be helpful to you.
