Welcome to CIRES! We're glad you're here.
This page answers frequently asked questions and points you to new employee resources. If you can’t find what you need, the CIRES HR team is available to guide you and answer any questions you may have.
Below please go through action items and resources for all CIRES employees. Many resources are from CU Boulder, because all CIRES employees are CU Boulder employees. NOAA-based CIRES employees can find out about additional onboarding needs in the "NOAA-specific info" tab below.
All CIRES employees (NOAA and CU Boulder-based) should complete the to-do items below. Please note several links require logging in to the CU Boulder portal.

Be sure to set up your technology and office as soon as you arrive.
- Make an appointment with the CIRES IT help desk to set up your CU Boulder email, install software, and check out a laptop
- Complete your work modality agreement: All employees are required to log their work modality in the first 30-days of employment
- Office ergonomics: CIRES can provide a sit-stand desk and ergonomic chair for work on campus or at DSRC. NOAA-based employees email lucia.harrop@noaa.gov, CU Boulder-based email dan.keane@colorado.edu
